Jim Finan joins the The Kensington Company with over 30
years of business expertise, including franchise sales as a
Frannet affiliate where he has been helping educate
individuals on business ownership. He provides consultations
to individuals who are seriously looking to own their own
business. Jim works to match the personal, professional and
financial goals of his clients with carefully selected
national franchise companies. He further coaches his clients
on how to thoroughly search for and evaluate franchise
opportunities so that franchising can be seen as a safe and
affordable way to be a business owner.
Before joining The Kensington Company, Jim was Vice
President of Corporate Banking for STAR Financial Bank.
Prior to STAR and FranNet, Jim served at Ball State
University in the capacity of development director in
support of the College of Architecture and Planning. For 18
years prior to Ball State, Jim was Vice-President of
Operations for Reliant Services, a joint venture between
Indiana Energy and Cinergy, where he led the operational
implementation of services provided to utility customers in
the tri-state area of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Jim held
various managerial and director-level responsibilities with
Indiana Energy, Inc. (now Vectren Corporation) and was
instrumental in the creation and “start-up” of Reliant
Services.
Jim is a Ball State, College of Business graduate having
received a BS in Management and a MBA in 1989.
